Comox Valley

The Comox Valley includes a large strech of the east coast of Vancouver Island from north of the Parksville/Qualicum area to just south of Campbell River. It includes Union Bay, Comox, Cumberland, Courtenay and Black Creek. The region is one of the fastest growing in British Columbia. Its growth is mostly due to a building boom in Courtenay, but other parts of the Valley are being suggested for development, including Cumberland and Union Bay. With air service direct to Calgary and points south and east, as well as Edmonton, Albertans have in recent years become a major driver of the real estate and population boom. Nonetheless, the Comox Valley region has a thriving equestrian population with many horse facilities, rodeos, shows, and events throughout the year.
